Stitch Fix Review – September 2016

Welcome to my 7th Stitch Fix – This one was pretty great!

Spoiler – I kept it All… Again!

A little about Stitch Fix:

Stitch Fix is an on-line subscription personal shopping service based in San Francisco and founded in 2011.

For those of us who are too busy or hate to go to the mall, Stitch Fix makes updating our wardrobe and staying fashionable super easy.

Here’s How it works

You fill out a profile, create a Pinterest board, pin clothes you love, schedule a “Fix” and your stylist picks out 5 items she thinks you will love.  The items show up on your doorstep on the scheduled date, you have 3 days to try everything on in the privacy of your own home, with all your own accessories.   Keep what you like and send the rest back in the provided paid shipping envelope.

The styling fee is $20, which is applied to the cost of the items you keep.  If you send it all back, you’ve paid $20, if you keep it all you’ll get a 25% discount  on the total cost.

Refer a friend and get $25 in Stitch Fix credit added to your account.  If you haven’t tried Stitch Fix, you really should! You can use my referral code and with no cost to you, I’ll get a $25 credit. Thank you!

On to my September  Fix

I skipped getting a Fix in August since I was on vacation and spending my extra pocket money on souvenirs of Boston. So, I was really looking forward to this Stitch Fix arrival.  I had asked my stylist (Leah) for a Fall Fix this month. Yes, you can make special requests in your note to your stylist!  Take advantage of it and your fixes will be that much more fabulous.

Stitch Fix September 2016

This Fix included: the Mondavi Side Slit V-Neck Pullover Sweater by RD Style; the Gideon Polka Dot Sweater by 41Hawthorn; the Nash Turtleneck Pullover by 41Hawthorn; the Clarissa Pencil Skirt by Renee C and the Rebekah Stretch Crepe Blazer by Kensie.

First outfit – I fell in love with the Gideon Polka Dot Sweater by 41Hawthorn when I first opened my Stitch Fix box, so that’s what a went for with the first outfit.

Leah suggested that I pair this sweater with one of my brightly colored pairs of jeans, which I told her about in my “note to my stylist”. So, I chose my berry colored straight leg jeans and my Corso Como leopard print flats (get them here), I love the look!  The sweater fits well, not too loose and not too tight. It’s soft and not too thick for California weather.  Kept!Mondavi Side Slit V-Neck Pullover Sweater by RD Style

Second Outfit – Mondavi Side Slit V-Neck Pullover Sweater by RD Style.  I like black and red together so I paired this, light weight sweater with my red Vera Wang leggings, a red leather belt and my favorite black Mootsie Tootsie boots (similar here). – Kept.

Third Outfit – Clarissa Pencil Skirt by Renee C.  I had actually pinned this skirt on Pinterest and Leah was able to find it for me – Yay!!  I just love the colors, the softness of the fabric and the fit is great!  I paired it with a mustard cowl neck, a black stretch belt and my black granny boots.  I like the tucked in look better, but my guy likes the un-tucked look. Either way, love the skirt! Kept!

Fourth Outfit – Nash Turtleneck Pullover by 41Hawthorn.  I sure do love me some rusty orange and this turtle neck is a gorgeous flavor of it.  It’s light weight and has adorable gold button detailing on the sleeves.  I paired it with brown hounds tooth slacks and brown booties. Good work outfit for Fall.  Kept

Rebekah Stretch Crepe Blazer by Kensie

Fifth and Final Outfit – Rebekah Stretch Crepe Blazer by Kensie.  I had pinned a ton of blazers lately since they look so good for Fall and Leah came through again.  I hesitated with this one though. It was a bit tight across the shoulders and I have a couple of black blazers in my closet already.  However, I like the cut since it narrows at the waist and I like the polka dot lining that peeps out when you roll the sleeves.  It was a dilemma until I remembered that Stitch Fix now has exchanges!  I sent back the Medium and requested a Large. It came in the mail today and I’m very happy with the fit of the Large.  I think I’ll be donating one of the other black blazers in my closet to replace it with this one. Exchanged

That’s the whole Fall Fix. I got some really great pieces with beautiful colors!  If you’d like to get similar pieces in your next fix follow me on Pinterest, I post all of my Stitch Fix items there were you can pin them for your stylist.
